Annual Garage Sale, May 29 2010
Endowment
Despite the miserable weather on May 29th, the Garage Sale raised $1,252.00 towards the graduate scholarship. About half the funds raised so far were from the sales to the folks who braved the weather and about half from the pre-garage sales. Thank you to the Friday crew who helped with the pre-sale sorting (and shopping). Thank you to everyone who donated items to the sale. We were touched to receive a box of fabrics donated by Bill Seidel, the husband of member Mary Seidel who recently passed away. Thank you to Mary Holdgrafer, Wanda Cracknell, and Carol Hunter who worked on the sale day. Thanks to the following folks for their thoughtfulness; Carol Hunter who arrived for her shift with muffins, Lou Punko who arrived to shop with specialty coffees for the workers and Jim and Diane Close who arrived at the end of the day to help close things down. Thank you to those of you who will help out on June 5th for the Garage Sale Rerun. An extra special thank you to Kathy Strawson and her sister Marg (who is now a member of EDQG) for a job well done!
